AmeriHealth Caritas Teams Up with Indiana First Lady Maureen Braun to Bring Healthy Hoops® to Central Indiana Children

Attendees played basketball, heard from First Lady Braun, read books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and enjoyed health-focused musical entertainment from Rapping About Prevention.

"Healthy Hoops shows us the power of combining fun, fitness, and learning to help our children thrive. I am grateful to AmeriHealth Caritas for inviting me to be a part of such a special event today," said Braun. "As a mother and grandmother, I know how important it is to encourage young Hoosiers to build strong, healthy habits."

AmeriHealth Caritas also hosted a Healthy Hoops event with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne for kids in northeast Indiana earlier this year. It has worked with other Boys & Girls Clubs, and similar organizations serving children, throughout the country to bring the program to more than 60,000 children and their families since 2002.
