Pasadena Police Department Celebrates 30 Years of National Night Out at New Jefferson Park Location

Pasadena, Calif. - The Pasadena Police Department (PPD) is excited to invite residents, families, community organizations, and local businesses to celebrate the 30th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at its new location, Jefferson Park, 1501 E. Villa Street. The move reflects the department's continued commitment to making this signature community event accessible, welcoming, and engaging for residents throughout Pasadena.

For three decades, National Night Out has been a Pasadena tradition, bringing together neighbors, law enforcement, businesses, and community partners in support of safer, healthier neighborhoods. The annual event strengthens relationships between the Pasadena Police Department and the community while promoting crime prevention, public safety, and neighborhood unity.

This year's celebration will feature interactive games and activities, community resource booths, giveaways, and opportunities for residents to connect with Pasadena Police Department personnel and representatives from local nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Attendees will have access to valuable information on a variety of health and safety topics, including crime prevention, domestic violence resources, mental health services, youth programs, and personal safety. The Pasadena Police Department's Mounted Enforcement Unit will also make a special appearance, giving families the opportunity to meet the department's horses and learn more about the unit's role in community policing and public safety.

"National Night Out is more than just a community event, it's a celebration of the partnerships that help keep Pasadena safe," said Chief Gene Harris. "Whether you're meeting an officer for the first time, connecting with local organizations, or simply enjoying an evening with your family and neighbors, we hope everyone feels welcome. We look forward to seeing the community at Jefferson Park on August 4."

The Pasadena Police Department continues to expand National Night Out each year through community outreach, partnerships, and engagement. Local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups continue to demonstrate their support by participating as vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, helping make the event one of the department's signature community celebrations.

The Pasadena Police Department looks forward to welcoming the community for an evening dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods, fostering partnerships, and celebrating the shared commitment to keeping Pasadena safe.
