Chair Volleyball brings a lively twist to one of Baytown's favorite group activities. Designed for participants of all abilities, the program keeps the fun and teamwork of volleyball alive, just from a seated position. Held every Wednesday inside the Baytown Community Center Auditorium, Chair Volleyball delivers laughter, light competition, and plenty of energy in a safe, indoor setting. It's free to join and welcomes anyone looking for an easy, social way to stay active without the strain of traditional gameplay.
Complementing the movement-focused Chair Volleyball, In The Quiet - Meditation at the Labyrinth provides space for stillness and renewal. The labyrinth, a recent addition championed by Councilwoman Laura Alvarado, was created as a space for reflection, mindfulness, and community connection. Every second Saturday, participants gather for guided meditation and silent walking through the patterned paths, an experience meant to restore calm and clarity. Beyond these scheduled sessions, the labyrinth remains open year-round for anyone seeking a quiet moment outdoors.
