Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to accompany Prime Minister on his official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to accompany H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and his spouse, on their official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on 8 - 9 June 2026, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister of Viet Nam.

This will be the Prime Minister's first official visit to Viet Nam since assuming office and a continuation of the recent successful official visit to Thailand by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the President of Viet Nam. The visit reflects the close Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries and will be part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold discussions with the Prime Minister of Viet Nam and the President of the National Assembly of Viet Nam. He will pay a courtesy call on the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the President of Viet Nam. He is also scheduled to meet with representatives of the Thai and Vietnamese private sectors to promote trade, investment, and economic partnership between the two countries. He will participate and deliver remarks at the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum under the theme "Shaping Our Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centered."
