WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, recently directly secured over $5.7 million for the Alabama Community College System through the passage of the FY26 Labor, Health, and Human Services (LHHS) Appropriations Act.
The bill, part of a larger package, will be sent back to the U.S. House of Representatives for a final vote before heading to President Trump's desk to be signed into law.
"I'm extremely proud to have secured $5.7 million for the Alabama Community College System," said Senator Britt. "The funds will be used for system-wide workforce development programming, which will unlock the potential of Alabamians across our state and provide opportunities for our workforce to expand and improve."
