It's On Us Week of Action 2025

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University hosts its annual It's On Us Week of Action Oct. 27-31, bringing awareness to Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The week of events is organized by KU's Women's Center and the student chapter of It's on Us, a student-led organization and campus movement to combat sexual assault through peer-to-peer education on consent, bystander intervention and survivor support.
The week of events began with a Red and Green Flags table on the MSU lawn Monday, Oct. 27. Students played games such as cup pong while discussing "red and green flags" in relationships.
Along with events, the Silent Witness Project is being displayed Monday, Oct. 27 through Saturday, Nov. 1, Old Main Concourse. The Silent Witness Project is a display of red, life-sized cut-out figures that serve as a visual monument to victims of domestic violence in Berks County. The project aims to raise awareness, honor lost lives and encourage action against domestic violence.

Pretzels and Pledges
11 a.m. to 3 p.m., MSU
Take the "IOU Pledge" and enjoy a soft pretzel while meeting the Title IX team.
Feminism in Horror Movies: Dissecting the Relationships in MidSommar
11 a.m. to noon, Boxwood House
Enjoy spooky cookies and cold brew while discussing horror films and relationships.
Dinner and Documentary
6-8 p.m., 250 MSU
Screening of the true documentary "Dear Zachary" and empanada dinner.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
James Wilkerson, J.D., "The Intricacies of Collegiate Sexual Misconduct"
6 p.m., Schaeffer Auditorium
Join IOU and Greek Life for this dynamic speaker on sexual assault prevention.
Thursday, Oct. 30
Take Back the Night: Wayfinding Journeys of Survival
4 p.m., Boxwood House
Join us for creating Wayfinding Collages that document our strategies for healing and self-recovery from trauma.
Friday, Oct. 31
Bonfire and S'mores
7 p.m., Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center
Join us for "costume and consent," a costume night with a bonfire and s'mores.
