Mesa Police Memorial Day Task Force
May 21, 2026 at 3:26 pmThe Mesa Police Department will be out conducting DUI enforcement activities this weekend. The MPD Traffic Unit will continue its support of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force beginning Friday, May 22 until Monday, May 25. Emphasized hours will take place on Friday from 2pm to midnight and on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 9pm.
The Memorial Day Weekend DUI Task Force is a local enforcement activity held annually. The mission is to remove impaired drivers off the roadway and create safer streets throughout the valley. Also, to decrease the number of vehicle collisions related to impaired driving.
The Mesa Police Department encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday weekend responsibly and designate a sober driver. Please report reckless, unsafe, or suspected DUI driving to your local law enforcement. Mesa Police Department non-emergency line 480-644-2211.
