Beginning March 2, 2026, Amaia Guerricabeitia will serve as a key facilitator and resource for university-wide policy development and governance processes. She will coordinate the creation, review and approval of institutional policies and revisions, working collaboratively with policy owners, senior leaders, employee associations and campus stakeholders to ensure broad engagement and regulatory compliance. In this role, she will research and analyze complex policy issues; draft and refine policy language; ensure alignment with applicable federal and state laws, Idaho State Board of Education requirements, and existing university policies; and oversee timely publication and maintenance of policies within the University Policy Library. Additionally, she will support special projects and strategic initiatives, to promote clarity, consistency, operational effectiveness and institutional integrity.
Guerricabeitia previously served as Business Operations Manager within the Finance and Operations Division and has been serving as Interim Policy Manager for the past seven months. During this time, she has provided steady leadership and continuity in advancing the university's policy development and review processes, working collaboratively with campus partners to support effective governance and operational excellence.
