On September 5, Ambassador Tigran Balayan took part in the event marking the launch of the TUMO Creative Technologies Center, during which Pegor Papazian, Chief Development Officer signed the relevant agreement together with with Yves Prete, President, and Jean-Christophe Peterkenne, General Director of "GRE-Liège".
This important initiative is being implemented by GRE-Liège, Noshaq, and Agora, with the support of Liège Digital Power House. The main sponsors of the project are Ethias, Gaming1, and Safran.
Mr. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Vice-President and Walloon Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, the Digital Economy, Employment and Training, Eric de Munck, Ambassador of Belgium to Armenia, and representatives from leading high-tech companies in Wallonia and Belgium participated in the event.
The new center is expected to be fully operational and officially open in the first trimester of 2026. It will be located at Grand Poste in Liège, in the heart of the city's creative district.
The launch of TUMO in Liège not only creates new opportunities for Belgian youth but also represents another milestone in the international success of Armenian educational innovation. The center is designed for students aged 12-18 and offers extracurricular education to develop digital and creative skills, including programming, artificial intelligence, robotics, graphic design, animation, video production, and music.
