Lisbon, 11 June 2026 - The Brewers of Europe held its 2026 General Assembly in Lisbon, Portugal, on 10-11 June 2026, bringing together representatives from national brewers' associations and brewing companies from across Europe.
This year's gathering took place in Lisbon in recognition of the 40th anniversary of APCV - Cervejeiros de Portugal, celebrating four decades of representing and shaping the brewing sector in Portugal. The occasion provided an opportunity to acknowledge APCV's longstanding contribution to the development and promotion of Portugal's brewing industry, while reinforcing collaboration among Europe's brewers.
During the General Assembly, members exchanged views on key priorities for the European brewing sector and discussed the challenges and opportunities facing brewers across Europe. Discussions reflected a shared conviction that beer is more than just a drink, playing an important role in bringing people together, strengthening communities, supporting livelihoods and contributing to Europe's cultural heritage and economic prosperity.
The meeting reaffirmed the sector's commitment to working together to support a sustainable, innovative and competitive brewing industry, while ensuring that beer continues to create value far beyond the brewery gates.
