Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to Participate in the IV Summit in Defense of Democracy

The President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, will participate this Saturday, April 18, in Barcelona, Spain, in the IV Summit for the Defense of Democracy, alongside various heads of state.

As part of this visit, the Mexican president will hold meetings with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón of Spain; Colombian President Gustavo Petro Urrego; President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil; President Yamandú Orsi of Uruguay; and Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados.

During her visit, President Claudia Sheinbaum will also meet with the Mexican community in Spain.

Finally, on Sunday, April19, President Sheinbaum will visit the National Supercomputing Center, where she will hold a meeting with academics and officials and tour the complex.

President Sheinbaum will be accompanied by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Velasco Álvarez; the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, Alicia Bárcena Ibarra; the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Presidency, Lázaro Cárdenas Batel; and the Mexican Ambassador to Spain, Quirino Ordaz Coppel.
