UAA Reading Circle: Klara and the Sun, Sept. 9
The UAA Reading Circle will discuss "Klara and the Sun" on Sept. 9.
Klara and the Sun, published in 2021 by Kazuo Ishiguro, is the story of an android, Klara, who serves as an Artificial Friend to a teenage girl. Set in the near future, the novel depicts a culture in which relationships between humans and intelligent machines have become commonplace. Klara's story raises questions about the nature of machine consciousness and what it means to be a person.
