Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Cebu, the Republic of the Philippines

At the invitation of H.E. Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting 2026, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat's delegation to participate in the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat (AMM Retreat) to be held in Cebu, the Philippines, on 28-29 January 2026. The ASEAN Foreign Ministers will gather for the first time this year to kick start discussions on the Philippines' 2026 ASEAN Chairship priorities under the theme "Navigating Our Future, Together," and to chart ASEAN's work for the rest of the year. The year 2026 will witness the commencement of the implementation of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future, ASEAN's 20-year vision document as well as the Strategic Plans for ASEAN's pillars of work.
