Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus Yang Yundong Has a Discussion with AKEL Representatives

On 22 July 2026, Ambassador of China to Cyprus Yang Yundong had a discussion with representatives of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL) of Cyprus. 

Ambassador Yang gave a comprehensive briefing on General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the gathering marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and elaborated on the glorious journey and the six fine qualities of the CPC. He stressed that as the CPC and AKEL share similar visions and boast a profound friendship, it is important to further strengthen inter-party exchanges, so as to jointly advance China-Cyprus relations and build a community with a shared future for humanity. 

AKEL representatives extended warm congratulations on the 105th anniversary of the CPC, expressed admirations for the tremendous achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC and its pioneering theoretical contributions, and stood ready to lift party-to-party ties to new heights.
