T&I Committee to Hold Hearing on the Need to Improve Federal Disaster Assistance and FEMA

Washington, D.C. - Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) announced that the full Committee will hold a hearing next week to examine efforts to improve federal disaster assistance and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); discuss how H.R. 4669, the Fixing Emergency Management for Americans Act (FEMA Act), supports needed reforms; and review recommendations developed by the FEMA Review Council. The hearing entitled, "Reforming FEMA: Ensuring the Nation's Disaster Readiness Works for Americans," will be held at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
