JIC Venture Growth Investments has made an additional investment in RoboTruck Inc. (RoboTruck) through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 2.

RoboTruck is a startup aiming to address Japan's "2024 logistics problem" through world-class autonomous truck driving technology.

‍

Logistics is an essential infrastructure that underpins daily life, yet the industry faces serious challenges, including a shortage of truck drivers and low operational efficiency. By developing and operating autonomous trucks equipped with advanced AI-driven perception and decision-making capabilities, RoboTruck aims to dramatically enhance transport efficiency and fundamentally resolve labor shortages in logistics.

Since its establishment in April 2024, RoboTruck has accumulated experience in Level 2 autonomous driving between the Kanto and Chubu regions through its participation in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Development and Demonstration Support Program for Unmanned Autonomous Driving to Promote Mobility DX" and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Demonstration Project Toward the Social Implementation of Trunk-Line Transportation Using Autonomous Trucks." In May 2026, RoboTruck successfully completed autonomous driving over the entire approximately 280-kilometer expressway route from Atsugi-Minami IC in Kanagawa Prefecture to Toyota IC in Aichi Prefecture without any steering intervention by the driver.

Through this investment, RoboTruck will further accelerate the development of its autonomous driving system toward the fully driverless operation (Level 4), strengthen its organizational structure, and build collaborative partnerships with business partners, thereby advancing its efforts toward the social implementation of autonomous trucks.
