In the Opin.fi service, you can find open studies from Finnish higher education institutions
The Opin.fi service, which was launched in spring 2025, brings together a variety of content from all Finnish higher education institutions that support open studies and learning. Jamk is also involved in the service.
In the Opin.fi service, you can find open studies for different stages of life. Choose a single course or jump to larger entities according to your own life situation - the selection is available to everyone, and new content is constantly being added to the service.
Jamk offers its open studies in the service as soon as registration is open. Our offering also includes, among other things, Jamk Arena articles, podcasts and open learning materials, as well as various other content that supports learning.
It is worth noting that some of the studies in the service are subject to a fee.

The new Opin.fi service brings together the learning opportunities offered by Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences for different life situations - browse, compare and select open studies that are right for you.
Find studies that are right for you
Opin.fi makes finding out about higher education institutions' open studies easy. In this service, you can:
- Search for and compare studies: try the search function or use filters to narrow down the selection. Remotely or face to face, at your own pace or on schedule, credits or not? You decide.
- Find inspiration and enthusiasm: the ten themes of the service bring together the most interesting studies on topical issues. Find what you're looking for...or maybe something completely new!
- Find out about flexible learning opportunities: completing credits is not the only way of learning something new - why not try webinars or videos?
- View your prior studies and save new opportunities: as an identified user, you can also view your previous studies in the service, manage your interests and save your favourites if now is not the right time for you to enrol.
More than 30 higher education institutions have already joined in
In late 2025, more than 30 Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences already offer their open studies in the service, in Finnish, Swedish and English, with or without credits, and both as contact teaching and distance learning.
