Julie P. Bookbinder Appointed as a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Patent Litigation Committee

NEW YORK - Sept. 12, 2025 - Julie P. Bookbinder, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in New York, has been appointed to serve as a vice chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Patent Litigation Committee.

The ABA's Patent Litigation Committee addresses practice in the federal trial courts in cases involving patent issues; proposals for improvements in such practice, including decreasing costs and length of pendency of lawsuits; and cooperation with other relevant committees, as well as other ABA entities, on issues relating to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, federal and state local trial court rules, or other trial practice issues arising under law.

Bookbinder advises clients across the full spectrum of intellectual property law. Her multifaceted practice includes patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation; patent prosecution; and the strategic enforcement of IP rights outside of litigation. Bookbinder has served as trial counsel in multiple federal court proceedings involving both patent and trademark disputes and has handled arbitration matters related to copyright and contract issues. Bookbinder has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and federal district courts across the country, and has examined witnesses at trial, arbitration, and before the International Trade Commission (ITC).
