Warnock Statement on Air Force Plan to Retire E-11 BACN Fleet

According to reporting, the U.S. Air Force plans to divest its E-11 Battlefield Airborne Communication Node (BACN) aircraft and will retire the fleet in fiscal year 2028

The E-11 is the only permanently stationed aircraft flying at Robins Air Force Base

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) released the following statement regarding the U.S. Air Force's plan to divest and retire its fleet of E-11 Battlefield Airborne Communication Bode (BACN) aircraft in fiscal year 2028.

"I am deeply disappointed by this plan from the U.S. Air Force to phase out and retire the E-11," said Senator Reverend Warnock."Since 2023, the E-11 has been the only permanently stationed aircraft at Robins Air Force Base, and its divestment would be a major loss for Georgia and the Warner Robins community. My office has reached out to the Air Force for an explanation. Should the Air Force move forward with this plan, I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Georgia Congressional delegation and Secretary Meink to ensure a strong and sustainable replacement mission is brought to Robins Air Force Base."
