CMS to hold TPOC/WCMSA Reporting Webinar – October 1st at 2:00 p.m. ET

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that it is holding a Workers' Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Reporting Webinar. This CMS webinar is scheduled for October 1^st at 2:00 p.m. (ET).

CMS describes this event as follows:

CMS will be hosting a WCMSA Reporting Webinar. The intent of this webinar is to review the WCMSA reporting process that was implemented this past April, as well as to discuss, from CMS's perspective, some of the issues encountered as well as WCMSA reporting best practices. As parties impacted by the WCMSA reporting, we also welcome anyone else involved in the submission and administration of WCMSAs, including attorneys and Medicare beneficiaries, to join. Please bear in mind that this Webinar is intended to broadly address the WCMSA reporting process, so questions regarding specific cases are not appropriate for this setting.

As noted above, the focus of this webinar relates to CMS's recently implemented TPOC/WCMSA reporting requirements which became effective April 4, 2025. Exactly what CMS will cover on this webinar remains to be seen. However, in our recent article we outlined and discussed several issues and problems experienced thus far as part of CMS's implementation of its new TPOC/WCMSA. We are hopeful CMS will address the issues discussed in our article as part of this upcoming webinar.
