Negative Declaration
Livingston County - The Village of Geneseo, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Geneseo Sanitary Sewer Collection System Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Village of Geneseo which owns and operates the sanitary sewer collection system and the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) that were constructed in the 1950s. Improvements to the collection system are needed to reduce inflow and infiltration of stormwater/groundwater into the sewer collection system. The Village is proposing a sewer system rehabilitation project to address these deficiencies. The project will include various methods of manhole rehabilitation or replacement and sewer main rehabilitation, including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, open-cut repairs, root removal, and capping of abandoned laterals. Improvements to the Village's closed stormwater drainage system will also be completed to eliminate direct stormwater discharges from the sanitary sewer system. Additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections will be completed for sewer mains that have not been previously inspected, and these areas will be rehabilitated as needed:
The project is located at multiple roads throughout the Village of Geneseo, New York.
