ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona's Ivyside Dance Ensemble, along with Allied Motion Dance Company, will perform "Amor Fati (Love of Fate)" Thursday and Friday, April 16 and 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Performances are free and open to the public.

"Amor Fati" explores the mythology surrounding the human relationship with celestial figures Helios (sun and creativity), Selene (moon, love, and healing), and Aurora (dawn and the passage of man to the afterlife). The production is told through the dance genres of modern and tap and is created and choreographed by KT Huckabee, teaching professor and coordinator for the performing arts at Penn State Altoona.

"Amor Fati" is supported behind the scenes by many students including Audrey Wawyrnovic, who took on costume design and construction as the capstone project for her multidisciplinary studies degree. Additional costume painting was done by Allied Motion member Ana Rossi-Lanzendorfer.

Performances are free and open to the public thanks to the Kjell Meling Arts for All Initiative. For further information, call the box office at .
