On DHS funding:

"Yeah, Maria, you make a great point there, that the biggest impact will be with TSA, I think, and FEMA continuing to get over those disasters. But regardless, Republicans need to stay strong here. We're the party of law and order, the Democrats are the party of the defund the police, and this is their next effort. I just think that they all need to sit back and remember that Barack Obama deported 3 million people with the same rules that we're using right now, but the biggest difference is he didn't have to deal with sanctuary cities that were aiding and abetting criminals. I really think the sanctuary cities is the problem. It's not ICE. ICE is doing a great job in other states, but sanctuary cities are making their job very hard. So, we need to stay strong. And ICE is funded. That's what's ironic about this. Ice is already funded through our Working Family Tax Cuts Bill as well. So again, here's the Democrats taking other industries hostage, the air industry, the Air flight industry, and then in exchange for what really is not necessary."

On digital assets legislation:

"Yeah, Maria, I think that's the biggest hang-up, is the banks are keeping it from going forward because they don't want that to happen. They're afraid that people will move their CDs, their savings out of their bank account, and into community banks. We loan that money. I get all that. But also, I think there's still concern in how criminals use crypto as well, and how it's used in money laundering, the Chinese triad using it for money laundering, as they continue, fentanyl poisoning, human trafficking, those types of things as well. So, look, we want to get it right. We don't want to make the regulations too tight, but they can't be too loose, and it's hard to get it just right."

On the crypto ransom note in the Nancy Guthrie case:

"Well, Maria, I think to a certain point you can, but it's how deep does it go? And boy, I'm not the crypto expert, but for some reason, for most of these criminals, that ransom they want, of course, is in crypto. So, there's a reason they like that."

On 45Z tax credit:

"Maria, this may be the biggest agriculture win for the decade. 45Z is a tax credit that we refined again in the Working Family Tax Cuts Bill, that's going to allow us to take corn and turn it into jet fuel. This is going to help us build that infrastructure out over the next three years. And the market of this is triple of our export market. So, on average, in a year, we export about 2 billion bushels of corn. This process of turning corn into jet fuel could consume three times that amount. So, if you could imagine walking in and saying, look, we tripled our exports, that's exactly what this does, and it will give us much more consistency. And this isn't the only win for agriculture. This week, India has announced that they're going to be buying $500 billion of agriculture and oil products. As well, over the next five years, that's more than doubled for them, and China doubled its soybean purchases. And this never happens without President Trump's tariffs. So, President Trump's tariffs have forced China and India to the table as well. And then President Trump came through on his promise for the American farmer on this 45Z to turn corn into jet fuel. Huge week for American farmers."

On regenerative agriculture:

"Absolutely, we are growing more with less. We call this regenerative agriculture, that we can grow more bushels of corn with maybe 80% less fertilizers and 80% less chemicals as well. And this 45Z tax credit is going to get benefit. They're going to pay the farmer a premium when they do this regenerative agriculture. When we don't plow the soil anymore, we call it no till farming. So indeed, the technology is tremendous. We're going to keep growing more with less, and again, President Trump is out to save the American farmer. This is so important to rural America. We're going to we need to connect the farmer, though, to the carbon markets out there in a better way as well, to help reward that part of the game."

On Fed. Chair nomination:

"Well, Maria, that's a tough question. I really think that Senator Tillis and the President need to sit down, break bread, and work this out between them. Obviously, there's a little bit of friction there right now, and the only thing standing between this confirmation is Senator Tillis, who I greatly respect, is a good friend, but the White House is going to have to work this out."

On the National Prayer Breakfast:

"Yeah, since I have a personal connection to this prayer breakfast, it was 1953, a senator from Kansas bumped into President Eisenhower, also from Kansas, asked, Mr. President, how are you doing? And President Eisenhower said this is the loneliest job in the world. They invited him to the prayer breakfast, and then that led to this National Prayer Breakfast. So, I was just honored to host it. We have a bipartisan prayer breakfast every week. Once a week, there's 20-25 senators that get together, probably three times that number of House members did together on their side. And we pray for each other, we study scripture. We have incredible chaplains that help lead us as well. So, this yesterday is an annual tradition. I kind of feel it's like communion for the country, that it's a great time for us to come together and look at the last year from a spiritual perspective. Where are we at on a spiritual footing as well, and making sure that we're still grounded in this model of ours of In God we trust. So very honored to do that."
