Traffic advisory for the National Women’s Half Marathon and 8k

WASHINGTON - On Sunday, May 3, the National Women's Half Marathon and 8k will take place in the District of Columbia. In conjunction with this event, there will be street closures that motorists should take into consideration.

The following roads will be closed to traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to noon:

  • Rock Creek Parkway south of Virginia Ave
  • Parkway Drive
  • 23rd Street NW between Constitution Avenue NW and Lincoln Memorial Circle
  • Henry Bacon Drive
  • Daniel French Drive
  • 23rd Street SW between Independence Avenue SW and Lincoln Memorial Circle
  • Memorial Bridge
  • Memorial Circle (ANC access via Route 110)
  • Lincoln Memorial Circle
  • Independence Avenue SW from 14th Street to 23rd Street
  • 17th Street between Constitution Avenue NW and Independence Avenue SW
  • 15th Street between Constitution Avenue NW and Independence Avenue SW
  • Madison Drive between 15th Street NW and 14th Street NW
  • Jefferson Drive between 15th Street SW and 14th Street SW
  • Raoul Wallenberg Place
  • Maine Avenue from Interstate 695/395 to Independence Avenue SW
  • West Potomac Park
  • East Potomac Park (access available to East Potomac Golf Course)
  • Ohio Drive SW
