For four months of the 2026 season, the Curio Skinner was in the field, on a trial, test, and development visit with a fish processor in Iceland. When the season ended, the Curio Skinner came back to JBT Marel headquarters to be taken apart and checked for wear and tear, a part of the development processes that ensures our equipment is ready for the real world when released.
What happened when our engineers opened the Curio Skinner after its site visit? "Now that it's come back after those four months, and we don't have to do anything. It just looks like new!" Axel Pétur Ásgeirsson, Senior Specialist of Global Product at JBT Marel. "It means, for processors, they have a reliable skinning machine and can expect less downtime."
