Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming Attends “Xizang Panorama：New Era, New Development” Story Sharing Event

On August 19, 2026, the "Xizang Panorama：New Era, New Development" Story Sharing Event was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. H.E. Mr. Jiang Jianguo, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Director of the Ethnic and Religious Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Executive Vice President of the China Society for Human Rights Studies, Mr. Top Bahadur Magar, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal, and H.E. Mr. Zhang Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and other distinguished guests attended the conference and delivered remarks.

Ambassador Zhang stated that the development vision of a "vibrant, open, harmonious and green Xizang" provides useful reference for deepening trans-Himalayan cooperation. Xizang's experience in economic and social development and grassroots governance also provides valuable reference for Nepal's development. China stands ready to work with Nepal to turn development opportunities into cooperation outcomes and continuously enhance the well-being of the people of both countries.

The event was jointly organized by China Society for Human Rights Studies, Tribhuvan University and the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal. Experts, scholars and media representatives among others from China and Nepal attended the event.
