LTU Announces Street Closures Beginning September 28, 29

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that several streets will close beginning September 28 and 29 for an event and a water main project. The closures are as follows:

Sunday, September 28, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Pumpkin Run

  • Pinnacle Arena Drive between North Eighth and "N" streets
  • "R", "Q", "P", "O" and "N" streets between Canopy Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive
  • Canopy Street between "R" and "N" streets

Monday, September 29, Water Main Replacement Project

  • The eastbound right turn lane at the Nebraska Parkway and South 27th Street intersection will close beginning Monday, September 29, for the first phase of a water main replacement project. This first phase of work is expected to be completed by late October. The recommended detour is 14th Street to Old Cheney Road to 27th Street.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
