She also chairs the Durham Human Relations Commission, helping guide initiatives focused on civic engagement, public trust and community relations.

A leader within the North Carolina Bar Association, Gwynn serves as division director of Civic Engagement and Pro Bono for the Young Lawyers Division and co-created the NCBA Young Lawyers Division Pro Bono Leadership Cohort, an initiative designed to expand service opportunities for attorneys across the state.

At the NCCU School of Law, Gwynn teaches Negotiation and the Art of Transactional Lawyering.

Gwynn earned her Juris Doctor from the NCCU School of Law evening program after receiving her bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University.
