TFD Responds to Residential Structure Fire in Woodville Community

December 19, 2025

At approximately 5:16 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of Hassell Road in the Woodville community.

Stations 3 and 13 responded, along with units from Station 1. Upon arrival, firefighters found a double-wide mobile home fully involved. The structure was vacant at the time of the fire. Crews quickly pulled handlines and brought the fire under control within minutes, preventing further spread to nearby properties.

The initial cause and fire origin are undetermined.

TFD was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS, and Talquin Electric Cooperative.

This incident marks the ninth residential structure fire in December. As part of the Tallahassee Fire Department's Keep the Wreath Green initiative, one additional green bulb on the wreath will be replaced with a red one.
