WASHINGTON, D.C. - As the government shutdown reached its 30th day, U.S. Reps. Mike Bost (IL-12), Mary Miller (IL-15), and Darin LaHood (IL-16) urged Congressional Democrats to reopen the federal government before key programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, experience a lapse in funding at month's end. Each week of the shutdown costs Illinois nearly $600 million in economic output, according to the President's Council of Economic Advisors.
