Cordova High Athletes Level Up with Lumin Sports
Student athletes at Cordova High School (CHS) are now utilizing a cutting-edge app-based training program. Developed in Australia, Lumin Sports is an all-in-one platform that helps track workouts, push programs in real-time, and monitor progress across athletes in sports like football, baseball, and soccer.
"Lumin Sports helps our athletes track their progress in the weight room while also showing how their daily habits-like sleep, recovery, and overall well-being-directly affect performance," said Chris Tamez, Strength and Conditioning Coach at CHS. "We've seen that athletes who consistently engage with the app and maintain healthy habits not only perform better on the field, but also show greater consistency in the classroom."
Students have access to the app with support from the Rancho Cordova Student Athlete Coalition and the City of Rancho Cordova. And today, the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the company, Benjamin Tripodi, visited the CHS campus and toured its weight room, which was revamped in January 2024.
Coaches love it too-it helps them stay consistent, measure results, and see the connection between training, classroom performance, and game-day readiness.
In addition to youth sports, Lumin Sports is also used by several professional basketball, rugby and soccer teams.
