To better support our evolving business requirements, we have made adjustments to the underlying software architecture of the Swissmedic Portal. As part of these improvements, minor changes have been introduced to the navigation structure.
In addition, the overview of establishment licences is now available directly within the portal. Previously, this information was provided through the partner overview as a temporary workaround.
A new dedicated overview page provides access to all currently valid establishment licences. By selecting an entry in the table, you can view the corresponding licence details.
In the near future, historical establishment licence data will also be available within the same overview. Users will be able to filter and select licence records by status. Stay tuned for this feature.
The main navigation within the side navigation menu has been revised to reflect the updated software architecture and improve future scaled usability needs.
When accessing the Swissmedic Portal, you may notice a redirect to a more specific URL. The URL establishmentlicences.swissmedic.ch continues to provide access to the Swissmedic Portal while identifying the relevant business domain for establishment licences.
This change supports our updated architecture and lays the foundation for additional business domains that will be introduced in the future, such as medicinal products. As a result, further domain-specific URLs will become available over time.
A new language selection option is available in the application header. This allows you to temporarily change the display language of the portal.
The selected language remains active for the duration of the current browser session or until it is changed manually.
No installation or configuration is required to use the new version. Simply open your browser and log in to the Swissmedic Portal as usual.
You may continue to use the existing portal URL:
www.portal.swissmedic.ch
