Last week, KMX Technologies CEO Dr. Zachary Sadow met with Congressional leaders from across the Colorado River Basin to discuss solutions to the region's growing water challenges.
The meetings included discussions with bipartisan representatives from basin states interested in next-generation water technologies that can help address the unprecedented drought conditions affecting the American West.
Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego and Dr. Sadow discussed Arizona's growing need for advanced water recovery solutions, including KMX's Vacuum Membrane Distillation (VMD) technology.
Multiple industries across Arizona face increasing pressure to improve water efficiency and recovery, including power and utilities, mining, data centers, food and beverage, and inland desalination.

The meetings also included discussions on the intersection of critical mineral security and regional water challenges.
Dr. Sadow and Utah Congressman Mike Kennedy, M.D. discussed the opportunity to develop co-located critical mineral recovery and inland desalination projects in arid regions.
The discussion highlighted how these dual-use projects could strengthen domestic critical mineral supply chains while enhancing local water supplies and stewardship.
