Mayor Wendi Strom's State of the City speech on April 15 will highlight how Together We Thrive through the power of connection, collaboration and community.
She will share updates on key initiatives, highlight achievements and progress, and outline priorities for the year. The public can RSVP online to attend.
"I felt it was time to bring back this treasured tradition as a way to increase transparency, highlight accomplishments, share our challenges and connect with you, our valuable community members," Mayor Strom said. The last State of the City event was in 2018 under a previous mayor.
2026 State of the City
Wednesday, April 15
4-5:30 p.m.
Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway
This event is open to the public and will be livestreamed on the city's YouTube channel and on Lakewood8.
Residents, community members, and business leaders will attend the event, which is hosted by the Lakewood-West Colfax Business Improvement District and the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District. The event also raises funds for nonprofits serving Lakewood residents.
Following the event, join Mayor Strom for refreshments in the lobby of the theater.
