Kennesaw, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to support Latino families in Cobb County.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering new funding to help renovate and upgrade Ser Familia's Cobb County facility to serve as a community resource center.
In 2024, Ser Familia purchased a new building in Kennesaw to serve as its headquarters. Now, Ser Familia will use the Federal funding to renovate and update the second floor of the facility to host a community health clinic, a non-profit incubator, mental health and family services group work, and some additional youth programming.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,894,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
"Ser Familia has empowered Latino families across the metro area for over 20 years," said Sen. Ossoff. "I'm proud to deliver these new resources to help them better serve Cobb County for years to come."
"This funding moves our mission forward in a very real way. By investing in improving our building, we will be able to serve more families with counseling, prevention, and family strengthening programs that support emotional wellness and mental health. I'm grateful to Senator Ossoff for championing resources that help families heal and thrive," said Belisa Urbina, CEO of Ser Familia.
