Public invited to open house Wednesday for SH-14 corridor study

RANGEVILLE - The Federal Highway Administration, in cooperation with the Idaho Transportation Department and U.S. Forest Service, will host a public open house Wednesday, Sept. 23, for the State Highway 14, Mt. Idaho Road to Meadow Creek Corridor Study.

The open house will run from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Super 8, 801 SW First St. in Grangeville. Community members may stop by anytime to learn about the study, speak with the project team and provide input.

The study covers eight miles of SH-14 between Mt. Idaho Road and Meadow Creek, east of Grangeville. It will examine the existing roadway, safety concerns, environmental resources and ground conditions to help guide potential future improvements.

The study is expected to take approximately two years to complete. No construction funding has been identified at this time.
