U.S. Chamber, Asheville Area Chamber Host U.S. Representative Chuck Edwards for Roundtable on Tax Reform

ASHEVILLE, NC - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted U.S. Representative Chuck Edwards (R-NC-11) for a roundtable discussion in Asheville, North Carolina with local business leaders on the pro-growth business tax provisions in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This forward-looking, pro-growth policy is vital to maintaining America's prosperity and competitive edge and will create new opportunities for American workers and businesses to thrive.

We applaud Congressman Edwards for working to ensure that the constituents of the 11th District of Kansas continue to benefit from long-term tax relief, fostering growth for workers and businesses across his district and beyond.

"The U.S. Chamber thanks Congressman Edwards for joining us in Asheville to hear how the Working Families Tax Cuts have positively impacted local workers and businesses," said Brince Manning, Senior Manager of Regional Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "Our conversation showcased how sound, pro-growth tax policy drives innovation, investment, and job creation, which makes a big impact on the local community. We applaud Congressman Edwards for his commitment to pro-growth policies and appreciate his leadership in delivering results for Western North Carolina."

"Alongside the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Asheville Chamber, I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from WNC business owners and leaders about how pro-growth tax policies are impacting their work," said Congressman Edwards. "Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, and my focus is on making sure Washington isn't making it harder for them to succeed. There's more work to do, but I'll keep pushing for policies that reduce burdens, lower costs, and support the people who drive our local economy."

"The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce is grateful for Congressman Edwards' efforts to support and champion legislation that impacts small businesses and for taking the time to engage with local business leaders," said Casey Gilbert, Vice President of Public Policy of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce. "Small businesses are the backbone of our country and the heart of Asheville. It was a pleasure to hear directly from the Congressman and have the opportunity for open dialog about what's working and what could improve outcomes for our businesses and local economy, especially as we continue to recover from Hurricane Helene."

The U.S. Chamber's tax roundtables are a part of its Growing America's Future campaign, an education and advocacy blitz in support of maintaining a pro-growth tax code to foster a robust U.S. economy that benefits all Americans. To date, the Chamber has hosted over 95 tax roundtables, and these events will continue over the coming months in communities across the country.
