November Pinal Pupdate

John and Stacey began volunteering at PCACC in July of 2022. They got their start volunteering through the public dog walking program, which they learned about on social media. From there, they decided to become fully registered volunteers and went through our training program.

John and Stacey have always loved dogs and, at the time, had three rescues of their own. Neither of them thought they could emotionally handle volunteering at the shelter, but then they experienced the immediate impact volunteers can have on the shelter dogs, and that kept them going. The joy the dogs feel brings them the same amount of joy. John and Stacey also enjoy making an impact in the community through participating in adoptions and other public events. As volunteers, they have seen the care and compassion that other volunteers and staff have for the dogs, and it has inspired them to continue their volunteer journey.

John and Stacey love that everyone at the shelter loves the dogs and cats, every day the staff goes above and beyond to provide the dogs with a second chance at life. They love the flexibility the volunteers have to take dogs on field trips, on sleepovers, or for a burger and a shake! They are a fantastic couple and we are lucky to have them as a part of our team!
