Commissioners adopt updates to County strategic plan

Commissioners have adopted updates to the Clay County Strategic Plan, following recommendations from a recent workshop. Updates focus on health, safety, roads, and quality of life, with new measures to track progress and better serve residents. You can catch the discussion at the 30:25 mark of the meeting.

Commissioners approve updated Clay County priority road project list

Commissioners approved Clay County's annual TPO priority roadway project list, updating the top six projects to include improvements to SR 16, US 17, Cathedral Oak Parkway, Old Jennings Road, Cheswick Oak Avenue, and CR 218. This list helps the County pursue grants and state funding to improve these roads. The approved list is attached to the agenda, and you can listen to the discussion at the 37-minute mark of the meeting.

Commissioners approve committee resignations/appointments

Commissioners accepted Chip Dobson's resignation from the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization's Citizen Advisory Committee. They also accepted the resignations of Terry Knight (District 2) and Randy Harris (District 5) from the Clay County Historic Preservation Board. Commissioners approved Rita Peterson's appointment to fill the vacant District 5 seat on the Historic Preservation Board. Commissioners appoint Brandon Ludwig to Northeast Florida Regional Council seat

Commissioners appointed Brandon Ludwig to fill Clay County's municipal seat on the Northeast Florida Regional Council. Ludwig currently serves with the Keystone Heights City Council and previously served on the Clay County Board of Adjustment.
