On Wednesday, November 12th, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gheorghiță Vlad, had an official meeting, at "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, with General Christopher Donahue, Commander of NATO's Allied Land Command (LANDCOM), as part of the activities occasioned by "DACIAN FALL 2025" (DAFA25) Exercise.
The talks focused on the Romanian Armed Force's contribution to NATO operations and missions, especially the land forces' command and control, operational planning, combat readiness level and the effective integration of land forces into NATO's missions.
During the meeting, the officials analyzed the results of the collaboration between the Romanian Armed Forces and NATO military structures, an example in this regard being the successful conduct of the DAFA25 exercise, over the last three weeks in several training ranges across Romania.
General Vlad emphasized the Romanian Armed Forces' constant commitment to consolidate joint efforts to strengthen the deterrence and defence posture on the Eastern Flank, as well as the future directions for enhancing the interoperability and training levels in allied context.
