The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) successfully conducted a Pre-Bid conference at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, Global Tender for Selection of Manufacturers for Setting Up 10 GWh Manufacturing Capacities for Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) for Grid Scale Stationary Storage Applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme. The conference held today i.e. July 29, 2026 witnessed active participation from 29 prospective bidders, industry stakeholders, Government Ministries including NITI Aayog, MNRE and Ministry of Power and industry associations.
The Pre-Bid conference was organized following the issuance of the bid documents on July 15, 2026 on the CPP Portal by MHI. The initiative is aimed at promoting domestic manufacturing of Advanced Chemistry Cells, enhancing energy security, and supporting the deployment of grid scale energy storage systems for renewable energy integration.
A detailed presentation was made on the scope and objectives of the global tender. During the pre-bid conference, the queries raised by the prospective bidders were addressed. The participants were informed that the last date to submit their queries by way of e-mail (as per details provided in RFP) is August 20, 2026.
The tender documents were available from July 15, 2026 and the bid due date is October 13, 2026. The bids shall be opened on October 14, 2026. The bidding process will follow online transparent two-stage mechanism under the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) framework through the CPP Portal.
