Carroll County Route JJ bridge now open…

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Carroll, Chariton and Livingston counties. The Carroll County Route JJ bridge over West Fork Wakenda Creek, northwest of Norborne, reopened to traffic yesterday, Wednesday, Dec. 17.

The bridge had been closed since Oct. 21.

Listed below are the other bridges included in this project:

  • Carroll County Route B over Sambo Creek, south of Wakenda. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-January 2026.
  • Chariton County Route KK over the Little Chariton River, north of Glasgow. The bridge is expected to reopen in March 2026.
  • Livingston County Route D bridge over the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch, south of Ludlow. The bridge reopened on Dec. 10.
