Mongolian civil servants address the complexity of the E-Business platform to develop a more advanced version

The Government of Mongolia is advancing its digital transformation agenda to reduce administrative barriers and improve access to public services by upgrading its E-Business platform.

MONGOLIA (ILO News) - The third workshop on enhancing the E-business platform was held on 4 November 2025, bringing together representatives from 5 ministries, 30 government agencies, IT specialists, and social partners. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and Development (MED) and the ILO.

Opening the event, N. Uchral, First Deputy Minister and Minister for Economy and Development, emphasized the platform's growing role in supporting enterprise development:

"Since its launch, more than 1,000 new businesses have been registered, and over 40,000 unique users have accessed the system. The E-Business 2.0 upgrade will take government e-services to the next level"

The new version aims to strengthen coordination among agencies delivering essential public services and accelerate Mongolia's progress in e-governance. High participation from civil servants reflects a strong commitment to reform.
The improved E-Business system is expected to help reduce informality-where more than 40 per cent of Mongolia's workforce currently operates-by making government services more accessible and transparent. This will contribute to expanding the tax base and creating fairer conditions for businesses and workers.
The initiative aligns with the national program "Increasing exports, facilitating trade, and improving the business environment," approved by the Government. The workshop featured interactive sessions and presentations on revising regulations that hinder business growth and advancing digital solutions for inclusive economic development.

Participants highlighted the need for ongoing collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure E-Business 2.0 delivers tangible benefits.
