AMARILLO, Texas (Aug. 19, 2026) - BSA Health System and Cardiology Center of Amarillo today announced a new partnership designed to strengthen access to high-quality cardiovascular care across the Texas Panhandle.
Cardiology Center of Amarillo, a trusted cardiovascular care provider in the region since 2003, will join BSA Health System, bringing together two organizations with a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality cardiovascular care for patients across the Texas Panhandle. The partnership honors the reputation CCA physicians and teams have built across the region while combining CCA's specialized expertise with BSA's comprehensive clinical network to enhance care coordination, expand access to specialty services and create a more seamless experience for patients.
Together, BSA Health System and Cardiology Center of Amarillo will continue their shared commitment to expanding access to advanced heart care across the Texas Panhandle, supported by expanded resources, coordinated services and a shared focus on delivering high-quality care close to home.
"We are excited to welcome Cardiology Center of Amarillo into the BSA family and build on the exceptional reputation its teams have earned since 2003," said Michael A. Cruz, CEO at BSA Health System. "Together, we will continue our shared commitment to providing exceptional care close to home while strengthening access to advanced cardiovascular services in Amarillo and throughout the Texas Panhandle. By bringing our organizations together, we are building on a strong foundation of cardiovascular expertise and creating new opportunities to meet the growing needs of the patients and communities we serve."
CCA physicians, advanced practice providers and staff will become part of BSA Health System as the organizations move through the transition and integration process. During that time, BSA and CCA will work closely to support patients, maintain continuity of care and services whenever possible and help patients continue receiving care from the providers they know and trust.
Dr. Monte Slatton, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Cardiology Center of Amarillo, said, "Since 2003, our physicians and staff have worked to build a trusted cardiovascular program rooted in clinical excellence, patient-centered care and service to this region. Joining BSA Health System allows us to carry that legacy forward while continuing our shared commitment to meeting the growing needs of our community. Most importantly, it helps strengthen access to outstanding heart care close to home, supported by two organizations dedicated to exceptional care. Together, we are strengthening our ability to care for more cardiovascular patients and investing in the future of heart care in Amarillo and the surrounding communities."
The transition is expected to be completed by late this year.
