Pasadena RSD and Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles Host Free Educational Workshop for Landlords

PASADENA, Calif. - The City of Pasadena Rent Stabilization Department (RSD) is partnering with the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA) to host a free educational workshop for Pasadena landlords. Presented by AAGLA and hosted at the RSD Office, the workshop is designed to help housing providers stay informed, manage their properties with confidence, and stay current on California's rental housing laws and requirements.

This session will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the RSD Office, 199 S. Los Robles Ave., Pasadena. Participants can attend in person or join virtually via Zoom by visiting Bit.ly/PasadenaAAGLAWorkshop.

AAGLA's workshop, "Compliance Without Kaos: Staying on Top of California's Complex Regulations," will provide landlords with practical information to help them better understand and navigate California's rental housing landscape. Topics include:

  • Current and upcoming California housing laws and what they mean for landlords.
  • Property maintenance and habitability standards - best practices to help landlords protect their investment.
  • Fair housing guidance for tenant selection and property management.
  • Notice requirements and procedures - clear, step-by-step guidance on timing and best practices.
  • Legislative updates on new laws and proposed legislation currently under consideration in California.
  • Live Q&A session - bring your questions and get answers directly from the speakers.

The session will feature Kari Negri, Chief Executive Officer of SKY Properties, and Daniel Yukelson, Executive Director of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles. Both speakers bring extensive industry experience and will offer attendees practical guidance on the latest housing laws and legislation affecting rental housing providers in California.
