Plan To Attend Free Festival Oct. 18, 10 A.M.-5 P.M. At Historic Fifth Street School
LAS VEGAS (Sept. 19, 2025) - The free 2025 Las Vegas Book Festival will feature 23 panels of authors discussing their books, personal stories, where they find inspiration, how they collaborate, which genres work for them, and so much more. Choose which authors you want to meet, which panels appeal to you and plan how you will enjoy the festival Saturday, Oct. 18 - just a month away! More than 100 published authors will participate this year. Authors will be available to sign their books after participating in their panels.
Open to all ages, the Las Vegas Book Festival, now in its 24th year, returns to downtown Las Vegas Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St.
Panel discussions include some interesting genres, including fantasy authors exploring the power of imagination and epic storytelling, inspiration from Jane Austen and William Shakespeare woven into modern storytelling, storytelling with poetry, why horror thrives across mediums, and how places can shape the story. Panels will be held in the auditorium, Inspired Tent, Empowered Tent, Downtown Tent, Poetry Pavilion and Discovery Tent - all on the grounds of the Historic Fifth Street School. Panels begin as early as 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Free workshops will be held in Room 140; all materials will be provided. Children's activities are available all day, including story times with "Real Dinosaurs," face painting, a scavenger hunt, lawn games and make-and-take art activities.
