Trevecca Welcomes Munn as Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Trevecca Nazarene University has hired Troy Munn as vice president for institutional advancement, officials announced this week. Munn's hiring marks a return to Trevecca, where he served on the Advancement team from 1998-2001 during the school's Celebrating the Century Campaign.

Munn worked most recently as the vice president of foundation development and chief development officer at Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville. He brings 35 years of experience in leadership, building teams and mission engagement in nonprofit organizations. Munn has extensive expertise in both private and public education as well as the healthcare industry. He will be filling the position of Vice President for University Engagement Peggy Cooning, who is retiring at the end of the year.

"We are happy to welcome Troy back to the Hill," Trevecca President Dr. Dan Boone said. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help us continue to propel Trevecca forward. We are grateful to Peg Cooning for her leadership in this role over the years, and excited about being in good hands as we enter the next chapter for university engagement."

In his new role, Munn will oversee fundraising; alumni, church and community engagement; and other impactful areas of Trevecca's growth and advancement.

"I am excited and blessed to be back at Trevecca and look forward to working with President Boone, the Institutional Advancement team, and the entire Trevecca family and community," said Munn. "Together we will secure vital resources to fulfill our mission and create a bold vision for the future so Trevecca can be its best in providing education for leadership and service."

Munn's tenure with Trevecca will begin November 6.
