NATCA President Nick Daniels Hosts Second Largest OKC Meet and Greet of 2026

NATCA President Nick Daniels, along with Western Pacific Regional Vice President Joel Ortiz (NWP), Alaskan Regional Vice President Clint Lancaster (NAL), and National Training Representative Jamaal Haltom (Las Vegas ATCT, LAS) hosted more than 90 FAA Academy students and their guests in Oklahoma City on Aug. 26, 2026.
Students learned more about the air traffic control profession, their potential careers, and NATCA's role in aviation safety. They also asked NATCA leadership about the ways the Union can support them throughout their careers. The August meet and greet was the second-largest of the year. Two more meet and greets scheduled with FAA Academy students are scheduled for October and December.
