Rep. Bruce Williamson Honored with 2026 Legislative Service Award by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia

ATLANTA - State Representative Bruce Williamson (R-Monroe) was recently recognized by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) with a 2026 Legislative Service Award for his work during the 2026 legislative session on Senate Bill 566. ACCG presented Rep. Williamson with his award during a meeting in Walton County earlier this month.

"I would like to thank ACCG for this award," said Rep. Williamson. "It was a pleasure to collaborate with them on SB 566 and the associated reforms to the notice of assessment. The changes will make it easier for my constituents and all Georgians to see and understand how their property is being assessed."

Rep. Williamson led one of ACCG's top legislative priorities in 2026 by championing reforms to the notice of assessment and property tax administration process. As sponsor of HB 275 and House sponsor of SB 566, ACCG notes that Rep. Williamson helped modernize and simplify the property tax notice and tax bill format.

"For more than a decade, ACCG has honored members of the General Assembly through our Legislative Service Awards program," said Executive Director Dave Wills. Representative Bruce Williamson represents the citizens of District 112, which includes portions of Gwinnett and Walton counties.
