In a New York Times article about universities creating degrees in artificial intelligence, UW President Ed Seidel says there is growing awareness that students should be prepared to use the technology -- but the issue is challenging because of public unease.

In a Marketplace piece about the potential for cloud seeding to refill the Great Salt Lake, UW Professor Jeff French says there's no scientific evidence to support an impact of that magnitude. French has directly observed that cloud seeding can be effective, but with limitations.
